Barbara

For Barbara, a south Texas native, animals have always been a part of her life.  That led her, in 2019, to start volunteering and fostering.  She and her first foster, Quincy, fell in love and he became a much loved and spoiled foster fail. He is never more than an inch from his momma’s side.
Barbara started using her amazing sewing talents when Covid hit.  Masks were hard to come by at first, so she sewed dozens of face masks for rescue workers, fosters, volunteers, and transport drivers.  Today she is still sewing, making blankets for the pet crates, as well as too many other things to list. She is such a blessing to us all.
Barbara also assists with the adoption events by setting up, packing up, and helping potential new pet owners find their perfect new family member.

She continues to find fostering animals very fulfilling.  And even though giving up the fosters can be a bit painful, helping unwanted and stray animals find their forever homes makes her life happier.

Barbara is selfless and we couldn’t manage without her and all the love she puts into all she does for us!
