Angie Knight

Hello! I would like to thank you for visiting Kitten Rescue NW.

I want you to know kitten rescue is very dear to my heart and that my goal is to have a large rescue operation with facilities where we can care for and rescue as many kittens and cats as possible!

When I was a young girl, I witnessed the unfortunate abuse and death of many kittens. I vowed that when I was old enough, I would help all the cats that I could. As a young adult I would pick up strays and do whatever I could to nurture and care for them. Soon after, people started calling me whenever they found kittens that had been abandoned, lost their mothers, and were sick or injured. It wasn’t long before my family and friends started teasing me calling me the “crazy cat lady”. But that was O.K. because I was saving lives.

Over the years, after many veterinarian visits and long nights spent trying to get these babies well, I have learned everything from treating infections and wounds to giving them IV’s and testing.

I volunteered at local shelters and clinics and I always enjoyed taking care of neonates—the youngest, most helpless kittens. They require intensive, around the clock care—as well as feeding every 2 hours. I acquired a reputation as being the one to call when the youngest, most vulnerable and the sickest kittens were found.

It has become a year-round occupation due to the number of kittens I rescue. It is 24/7 on most days depending upon the time of year. At first, I was doing it by myself and then my children started helping when they were old enough. As they grew up and moved on, There never seemed to be enough of me to do everything I needed to do on a daily basis, so I begged and bartered and enlisted the help of friends and extended family. I still care for all of the neonates and for the sickest little ones until they are strong enough to graduate from one nursery to the next. It is so rewarding when they thrive and do well, and just as devastating when I lose one. Each one has a Special place in my heart.

We do our best to utilize all of the knowledge and equipment at our disposal to give these newborns the best chance at survival. As they grow and get healthy enough, we have special fosters that take care of them in their homes where they continue to be loved and socialized. We treat each kitten individually and thoroughly love it and care for it until we are able to place them in their forever home, no matter how old they are.

I spend more nights than not taking care of/and/or worrying about these kittens. It’s been a lifelong dream to get where we are today. Even when it’s just me doing everything 24/7, I manage to get things done—and even when I am really tired—I still look forward to taking care of every little kitten. It is extremely expensive to properly care for these little ones—vet visits, shots, spay-neuters, food, litter, cleaning—the list is endless —

Therefore We are always grateful for donations, volunteers, foster parents, and of course loving furever homes for these kittens. Our tiny little neonates lives depend on your generosity. We thank you and are truly grateful for your kind donations.

Thank you for visiting our site. We look forward to helping you with your kitten rescues and/or finding the perfect kitten suited to your individual family situation!

I hope your day is blessed with kitten snuggles and purrs; as well as lots of kitten antics and love.
